Hi,

I believe the titles of the paintings are wrong on the ARTUK website which is why I requested them to be renamed. The 2020 Catalogue Raisonne says that GLAHA 46378 is "Sketch for 'Annabel Lee'" https://whistlerpaintings.gla.ac.uk/catalogue/display/?mid=y080 and GLAHA 46344 is "Ariel" https://whistlerpaintings.gla.ac.uk/catalogue/display/?mid=y318

We could go by the names on the ARTUK website but I thought the Catalogue Raisonne names are probably the right ones. Let me know what you think Surajr7 (talk) 17:56, 12 March 2026 (UTC)

• Use the CommonsDelinker link in the {{Rename}} template to order a bot to replace all occurrences of the old title with the new one. Or, if there was no rename-request, please use the Move & Replace-tab.
• Please leave a redirect behind unless you have a valid reason not to do so. Other projects, including those using InstantCommons, might be using the file even though they don't show up in the global usage. Deleting the redirects would break their file references. Ghent Altarpiece

as you have perhaps noticed some are against my sorting. Good example. Now your best file hangs around unnoticed at the end of the cat. The only way is to manipulate the File name when uploading, which normally I hate Oursana (talk) 09:55, 25 May 2026 (UTC)
